Frequently Asked Questions

Graduate Admissions FAQ

Questions answered on this page:

Can letters of recommendation be submitted without the Letter of Recommendation Form C?
No, Form C must accompany all letters of recommendation with both the applicant’s and the recommender’s sections completed. Letters of recommendation must be sent in a sealed envelope with the recommenders signature across the seal.

How do I apply for more than one program?
A new online application and fee must be submitted for each program to which you apply. You must create a separate account and PIN number for each application. If your Ecclesiastical Endorsement (GS Form E), test scores, and financial certification forms (for international students) are still valid, and the transcripts you submitted with your initial application are reflective of all of the classes you have taken, new documents are not required. Otherwise submit new documents.

Can I defer my application?
If you wish to be considered for another semester or term (e.g., winter 2008 to fall 2009), you must reapply online, creating a new PIN and password. This will allow us to have the most up-to-date documents. You do not need to resend transcripts but you will need to pay an additional $50 application fee and submit a new ecclesiastical endorsement (GS Form E). Integrative Accounting students must submit a new 5A form and a new GS Form B in addition to the above stated items. Please check with your department to ensure that they will retain your materials, such as letters of recommendation or statements of intent.

How will my GPA be calculated? For U.S. transcripts, GPAs are calculated based on the last 60 hours of upper level coursework. If there were not 60 hours of upper level classes taken, then the most recent lower level courses will be used to make up the difference. We do not use any post-baccalaureate or graduate grades in the GPA calculation, although the department will be able to see those transcripts and use them in consideration of your application. The university minimum GPA is a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

How do I pay my application fee? You can pay your application fee online with a credit card as part of the final steps of submitting your application.
