According to the Institute of International Education, during the last eight years the BYU Mathematics Department has received more Fulbright Awards than any other Mathematics department in the nation. Wayne Barrett, Michael Dorff, and Gregory Conner were selected as Fulbright scholars from 2005-2008. Their receipt of this award places them among the elite scholars of the 20th and 21st centuries.
PROVO, Utah -- Each year at the beginning of fall semester, new graduate students become acquainted with campus organizations and offices at the Information Fair. They are then treated to a catered dinner with a special guest speaker and many prizes are awarded including full and partial tuition grants. Eligible students and faculty must RSVP for dinner no later than midnight on September 6.
Graduate Studies at Brigham Young University is awarding more than $100,000 in research funding to twenty-two BYU graduate students this fall. Twelve master’s students and ten doctoral students were recently announced as the recipients of the 2007-2008 Graduate Research Fellowship awards.
Starting fall semester 2008, international applicants with degrees from non-U.S. schools must have all official transcripts, diplomas and marksheets evaluated by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), International Education Research Foundation (IERF) or World Education Service (WES) before submitting them to BYU.
