The President's Council has adopted a set of values for all BYU staff and administrative employees. The Staff and Administrative Employee Recognition Awards recognize the demonstration of these values for all BYU staff and administrative employees.

Highlights Body:

Throughout the year employees (including part time Category I and II) can be nominated by co-workers in their own or other departments, supervisors, or faculty members . This can be done by accessing the nomination form at http://www.byu.edu/hr/Staff-Admin-Award.

Performance Development Plans (PDPs) are mandatory for staff and administrators. They must be completed and submitted by March 1st.

Highlights Body:

An online Performance and Development Plan (PDP) is required for all full-time staff and administrators at BYU. You may access the PDP site by clicking on the following link: https://pdp.byu.edu

All PDPs should be completed and forwarded to Human Resource Services by March 1st. Any questions may be directed to your department's PDP Coordinator.

The BYU Performance and Development Plan (PDP) serves three primary purposes:

  • To clarify the supervisor's expectations for ongoing performance.
  • To provide feedback and recognition that helps the employee improve performance and meet the responsibilities and objectives of his/her position.
  • To outline plans for the employee's ongoing professional development.
