The Equal Opportunity Manager assists supervisors and managers in addressing complaints of discrimination (including sexual harassment) arising in the workplace and coordinates with management to train their workforce on equal opportunity issues.
Part of a manager or supervisor’s duty to ensure a safe and respectful workplace, is his or her responsibility to:
- Ensure all employees are trained on relevant equal opportunity policies
- Take prompt and equitable action as grievances occur
- Coordinate with the Equal Opportunity Office for disability accommodations and FMLA leave
