Q: What is the STAR Project?
A: STAR is an acronym for Strategic Technology and Resources.
The STAR Project is the upgrade from PeopleSoft 7.5 to PeopleSoft
8.8 HRMS/Payroll system for Education and Government.
Q: When will this project be completed?
A: The STAR Project is scheduled for completion in December
2004.
Q: Why are we performing this upgrade?
A: Support for the current version of PeopleSoft,
version 7.5, is scheduled to be discontinued.
Q: What are the benefits of this upgrade?
A: Upgrading to PeopleSoft 8.8 will allow PeopleSoft
users to access the software via the web, without a client program.
This will allow the University to more fully utilize the features
that PeopleSoft offers for managers and administrators.
