How Do I Change My Meal Plan?
You will select your meal plan on your Room Selection Date as part of the room selection process.

If you find that your current Meal Plan is not the best fit for you, you may change to a different Meal Plan or, if eligible, cancel your Meal Plan altogether. This can be done at any time before or during the agreement period and up to seven days prior to the end of the agreement period. You may do this by selecting the "Manage My Meal Plans" link under the Meal Plans menu in My Dining Account. A $10.00 service fee will be charged for each Meal Plan change or cancellation if made after the date shown below:

  • Fall Semester 2008 - September 15, 2008
  • Winter Semester 2009 - January 16, 2009
  • Spring Term 2009 - May 5, 2009
  • Summer Term 2009 - June 29, 2009

Cannon Block of Meals

Description
A block of meal passes is allocated each semester/term. Each meal pass allows one entry into the new Cannon Commons.

Helaman Halls residents start with 275 meal passes per semester (or 130 per term). Residents of Heritage Halls, Wyview Park, and the Foreign Language Student Residence may select either the partial meal plan option with 100 meal passes per semester (or 50 per term), or they may select the full meal plan option with 275 meal passes per semester (or 130 per term).

Additional blocks of 25 meal passes may be purchased at any time for $125.

Meal passes are available to use anytime through the entire semester/term; however, unused meal passes do NOT carry over from one semester/term to the next.

If a student changes to the Cannon Block of Meals during the agreement period, they will receive the full meal pass allotment. If a student changes from or cancels the Cannon Block of Meals, $4.50 for each remaining meal pass will be credited back to the student's university account.

Dining Plus

Description
$10.60 in Dining Dollars is allocated each day.

Any unused portion of the daily allotment will carry over to the next day with a maximum balance of $75 at any given time.

Unused Dining Dollars will carry over from fall to winter and from spring to summer, however, unused Dining Dollars will be forfeited at the end of the summer term and winter semester.

Dining Dollars may be used in The Commons at the Cannon Center or any other BYU Dining Location. First-year residents of Helaman Halls may not use Dining Plus at the Creamery on Ninth.

Diner's Platinum

Description
You choose between a weekly allotment of $30, $40, or $50 in Dining Dollars to be allocated on the first day of the agreement and every Monday during the semester or term.

Any unused portion of the weekly allotment will carry over, with a maximum balance of $100 at any given time. Any accrued balance over $100 will be forfeited.

Unused Dining Dollars will carry over from fall to winter and from spring to summer, however, unused Dining Dollars will be forfeited at the end of the summer term and winter semester.
Who Can Have Diner's Platinum?
Diner's Platinum is available to the following groups:

Description
Unlimited meals in The Commons at the Cannon Center(visit as often as desired each day).

An additional amount of Dining Dollars is allocated per semester depending on which Open Door Meal Plan is used (Open Door 50 allocates $50, Open Door 100 allocates $100, and Open Door 150 allocates $150).
