StudentsThe safety and protection of the BYU community is BYU’s first priority. BYU students in high-risk categories, including older adults and those who are immunocompromised, are strongly encouraged to not be on campus during winter semester 2022 unless fully vaccinated. Additionally, those who will be caring for or sharing living spaces with high-risk individuals are encouraged to not be on campus during winter 2022 unless fully vaccinated. Some remote coursework options are available for students in these situations. Students will have the ability during class registration to choose from those courses designated as “live remote delivery” and "on-demand remote delivery." High-risk students can contact their advisement centers or call 801-422-4104 for registration assistance.
EmployeesBYU employees in high-risk categories, including older adults and those who are immunocompromised, should continue to follow “high risk” protocols established by Utah health officials. This includes working from home as the first option and exercising all possible caution. Individuals who work or live with people in high-risk categories should also continue following “high risk” guidance. Questions regarding these circumstances may be addressed to direct supervisors and Human Resources.
